The film is effective against these pathogens

ANTIVIRAL PROTECTION plus film – it’s more than just an anti-Covid film. The “plus” in the name stands for the multitude of other viruses and bacteria as well as the coronavirus that are reduced by the film on surfaces. It has also been tested according to the ISO standards 22196: 2011 (effectiveness against bacteria) and ISO 21702: 2019 (effectiveness against viruses).

This includes in particular the most common bacterial strains, such as

  • The “hospital germ” – Pseudomonas aeruginosa. It is transmitted from person to person both through direct contact and indirectly via contaminated objects and surfaces. Some of these bacterial strains are even resistant to common antibiotics.
  • E.coli – one of the most well-known bacteria. While some strains are normal human intestinal flora, others can be transmitted by smear infections and can lead to severe gastrointestinal infections.
  • S. aureus and the type resistant to the antibiotic methicillin. Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) become particularly dangerous when the bacteria come into contact with wounds. Both are transmitted directly from person to person and via everyday objects.

The film is also effective against bacteria that are typically transmitted through food:

  • Salmonella enterica
  • Listeria monocytogenes

What does all this demonstrate?
That in addition to handwashing, the antiviral films from POLIFILM help to further reduce the risk of infection, in particular from pathogens that are transmitted via smear infections and thus also via surfaces.
